Do u know that Negri Sembilan Syariah Enactment allow...?
Q. any Muslim to convert to any other religion in Malaysia?? So why bother about going to civil court to apply for conversion ... just go to Syariah Court at Negeri Sembilan ... lazzifor...: I know what am i talking about ... do u? ... P. P: Approval is important as evidence that he is professing that particular religion so we will not have problem when he is dead ... whether to bury or to burn it ...! Dear friends: I'm not posting this because I support apostasy ... c'mon ... i just stating the truth ... that is what happening now in Negeri sembilan and more than 20 person have succeed in their application to convert in Negeri Sembilan ... I'm a Muslim too ... but i believe that an apostate should not be killed unless he (apostate) declare… [cont.]

A. hi fineline! i appreciate that you took the liberty to inform us on this. while i dont understand a thing about apostasy in islamic law, i strongly believe this is the way to be in order to be fair to all malaysians, particularly malays who are born into the religion as opposed to those who chose to convert. indonesians of malay ethnicity (surprisingly they call themselves indons and not malay) have a right to practise any religion they have faith in. i fact all of those i know are practising christians. so i can only guess that malays should not necessarily be muslims. and im rather sure this is not provided for in the Quran. let me know if i was wrong.
