I need a directory for access floor distributors?
Q. I need to make a list of all access floor (raised floor distributors) for the delaware, maryland, virginia, and pennsylvania area. I am searching using search engines.. even put it in "access+floor+distributor s" format. Google is huge and I need this list for work, having trouble finding alphabetical directory for businesses in the field. These raised tile floors are for the large computer rooms at corporations.

How can we access plumbing in floor if we tile the floor?
Q. We have a house that was built in 1900s and a bedroom was made into the bathroom. The plumbing is in the floor. Plywood was screwed around the plumbing as an access door and then carpet was placed over it - of course the carpet got moldy after many, many years. Now we want to place ceramic tile in the bathroom - how can we still get access to the plumbing easily if something goes wrong and there is tile there? I want to think you can do a tile an access panel that can be removable but would it leak if it got wet? Help!

A. If your not happy with the answers you got, you might want to try this... they now make a laminate floor that looks a lot like tile you could leave the screwed down plywood and go over it with the laminate. then if you have to get to it just remove the molding and threshold piece and the laminate (as long as you don't glue it) will lift out one piece at a time from the last piece installed in. (you might want to buy the type with the foam backing so that will come up with the floor)

A. The paddle wheel boat that I chef on has two round screw down covers in the salon floor that allow access to the storage area below. They just had laminate installed a couple of months ago including the covers. When the covers are in place the grain is matched up really well with the floor pieces. The laminate on the covers is glued down.

i want to get a wireless router + access that covers 2 floors with a great Range? which product i select ?
Q. i want it to cover the hall villa, my villa is made up of 2 floor . i need my access point to deliver the connection all over the house. note: i need to pass wall obsiticlies .
Asked by khaledalihassan - Wed Oct 24 06:00:32 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. This could really be a toss up because most Wireless Routers offer a range of 150ft. However when you throw in different obsticals then this decreases your ability to connect. Note in this instance there in not one that is better than another because Outside Interference affects all that are on the market. I know that this isn't much help but I live in an old victorian and I have a Netgear with a single Antenna on it and I get good coverage on all floors. Some of the Newer Routers have 2 Antenna's that have to help. I prefer Netgear over some of the cheaper models only because I have tried them all and in my case the Netgear has the best coverage and response. Don

Can I use the linksys WAP54G access point to make my wireless signal from my WRT54GS reach the 2nd floor?
Q. Just bought a Linksys Wireless G router with speed booster (WRT54GS). There are some areas though in the house that get weak signal. I was thinking of buying a Wireless G access point (WAP54G) and a long UTP cable to "extend" my signal. Is this the right way to do it? The signal is only strong on the first floor. I was thinking of running a long UTP cable connected to the router up to the second floor and putting a WAP54G there. Will this result in my having internet in both floors? Can all my siblings and I use our computers at the same time?
Asked by Rapha B - Tue Jan 9 08:50:52 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You have the right idea. Before you go out and buy a 2nd access point, try moving the wireless router around, sometimes a couple feet left/right or up/down makes a difference. The average home has lots of multipath interference, sometimes because of things you cannot see like metal ductwork in the walls. The best bet it to have the wireless router as close to the center of your home as possible, but at least a few feet away from things that would cause interference like your PC chassis, metal filing cabinets, etc. Also make sure that BOTH antennas are pointing straight up, despite how some of the pretty pictures look. This stuff all uses vertical polarization and antenna diversity so it's best to have both antennas in the same… [cont.]

How can I access Market St from the Centre City Square parking garage elevator in Phila, PA?
Q. I need to use the parking garage in the Centre City Square building at 15th & Market Streets in center city Philly in the fall. Can anyone tell me about this garage after 5 PM? How do I access it and taking the elevator from the garage to exit on Market Street, what floor or level must I find? And can I go through the entrance on market street after 8 PM to take the elevator down to the garage?
Asked by DannyD - Mon Jul 6 17:06:41 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. For your last question, you may have to buzz your way in. Go to the doorway at the 15th and Market entrance (behind the giant clothespin sculpture) and look for the buzzer and speaker to call security. Tell them you need to get to the garage, and they'll let you in. They can also direct you to the right elevator. It's been over a year since I parked there so I can't remember exactly which floor is the Market Street exit. Sorry.

Does your cat sleep on the floor even though they have full access to more comfy spots?
Q. My oldest cat usually sleeps on my bed, on my pillow. She enjoys comfortable napping spots. However, my younger cat almost always wants to sleep on the floor. Why would this be? It's a carpeted floor, but still it can't be as comfy as the couch or bed? I even bought her a bed, and she'd rather sleep on the floor.

A. kitties are strange people. he is not top cat--she sleeps on your bed. he is safe there--after he figgers out where the other kitty will allow him to sleep, he will go there--try placing him at your feet, the femle at your head--he might sleep at your feet while she sleeps in position of honor--your head. female cats hold higher position than do male cats, therefore, she will tell hiom where she will allow him to sleep. all very normal.

Cost effective external flooring?
Q. Following outside land scaping I now have 60 square metres of flat land to cover. It is an (approx) 3m x 19m strip running the length of my house. I wondered what my options are for the strip flooring. Decking and paving would be the best looking but the price for doing that scares me. Concrete tipped straight in and levelled would be the cheaper option but access to the site for the truck delivering the concrete is limited. Am I missing any other options?
Asked by Stevie G - Wed May 7 20:00:20 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It sounds like you want to use concrete, but are concerned about getting a truck close enough to the site. Based on a slab that is 4" thick, rough calculations show that you will need about 2 cubic yards of concrete. Ideally, the truck could back up close enough to the site that the chute would dump the wet concrete inside the forms. Usually, landscaping or a narrow side yard prevent this from happening. There are a couple of options. The first is to use a pump truck. They punp the wet concrete thfough a hose to the slab site. The problem is that they are expensive and you really don't have much concrete to place. The most common method to move this amount of concrete is to move it in a wheelbarrow. The job will go much faster… [cont.]

A. Modern fan flued boilers only need a 100mm diameter hole through an external wall. I'm sure you must have one as I cannot envisage a flat with no windows. Consult a heating engineer they should give you a recommendation and a quote free of charge.

What's good to use as flooring (or ground cover) for an outdoor dog pen?
Q. We have three dogs (2 large, 1 small) that have indoor/outdoor access to a decent size outdoor pen. They are digging huge holes in the pen, under the fence (or near the edge of the fence) AND at the foundation of the house. If we can't get them to stop digging, would gravel be a wise choose of ground cover to use or is there something better?
Asked by Saundra - Sun Apr 19 08:35:43 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They dig when they are bored, but once they start, it is hard to break the habit. I would not use gravel...the pads on their feet will get sore. Cement will work, or you can use wood planking, but you will have to seal it really well. Cement will clean up much easier. I would give them some place soft to lay on though. You can just pour cement at the fence line and leave the centre dirt...that might work...just give them a soft area to lay on instead of the cement...a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting that can be hosed off like the cement, and some toys to play with.

How do I properly insulate wood florrs without access to the joists underneath?
Q. I called a local wood floor store and the rep suggested that I use polyurethane rubber as a vaopr barrier, 4 in 1 foam and then the dust control paper. I extended a house and the plans didnt require insulation underneath. Its not necessarily a crawl space we only have about 2 feet of space but the extension must be vented to comply with local code. I suspect that the flooring underneath will be cold in the winter time and I want to make sure that i have some form of insulation there.
Asked by evperry - Mon Jul 23 18:12:40 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. To properly insulate the floor you would need R-19 insulation between the floor joists inside the crawlspace. If you have cold air blowing In the vents, The floor will get cold.

What you want to purchase is a wireless client. Either a wireless USB network adapter or a wireless PCMCIA card network adapter to install on your computer.

Q. I live in a third floor flat with only a balcony and I want to get a cat.
Asked by Robbie S - Tue Jun 19 02:05:58 2007 - - 16 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you want to keep a cat indoors at all times and you're away from home for long periods during the day, then speaking from experience, its a good idea for them to have a feline companion. Young cats especially, need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep them fit & healthy. You could also consider adopting an older cat, who would appreciate a more sedentary lifestyle. Every effort should be made to keep an indoor cat happy and their environment should resemble an outdoor lifestyle as closely as possible. They must have a scratching pole, something high they are allowed to climb up on to, a wide variety of interactive toys and regular time set aside every day for you to play with them. A garden is an ever-changing… [cont.]

Asked by Frank Rizzo - Sat Jul 7 21:16:04 2007 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments

A. Depends on the size of your building. If you just want to offer wireless in the common area, You can try a Wireless Router as long as you have an internet connection right there in the common area. You may also look to using a Wireless Range Extender or Wireless Repeater if you're going to isolate the Wireless LAN to that 1 building / Pool or Recreation area. If you are looking into covering 3 or more stories, The material in the buildings is usually too thick so you might need to look into a system similar to this : As far as offering the service for free, It's up to you how much or how little you choose to offer to your tenants / guests. And since this is a free connection, It also reduces your need to secure it ( since you want… [cont.]
